Business Director

David is a Computer Engineer by The Instituto Politécnico Nacional (Spanish for National Polytechnic Institute) with more than 13 years of experience in the IT sector, working with issues as: software development paradigms, requirement engineering, design and architecture, quality assurance, process improvement and software factory, among others.

He took part in mission critical projects such as the SPEI® system of Banco de México, through which all electronic transfers of the Mexican Banks are made.

He has also participated as a member of the Software Engineering Process Group and as an Appraisal Team Member in several improvement projects under the CMM and CMMI models, thus obtaining satisfactory results in maturity levels 3, 4 and 5.

David is founder of the Testing practice in PRAXIS, specializing in several frameworks, strategies, techniques, automation, training tools and programs, all of this within the scope of software testing.

Earlier, he was the CIO of the Solution Center (Software Factory) for PRAXIS in charge of diverse development centers operating for banks, insurance companies, AFORES (retirement funds administrators), laboratories, health, security and government, among others, and providing services, like for instance: projects, developments, software testing, etc.

As Solution Center's CIO, he implemented and operated centers devoted/specialized in development (for example: business intelligence) and has led development centers to achieve the CMMI level 3 certification.

David is currently Business Director at PRAXIS and has under his responsibility, practices such as Solution Center, Mobile Solutions, SPEI®, Mobile Banking, Business Intelligence, Testing and Big Data, among others.
